The SDMO J200UC3 is a fully packaged 200 kW / 250 kVA diesel generator set built around a John Deere 6068HFS89 turbocharged engine and a Leroy Somer LSA462M5 brushless alternator, engineered to meet U.S. EPA Tier 3 emissions standards while delivering dependable standby and prime power across a wide range of voltage configurations.
ISO 8528-5 Class G-3 compliant for transient response and individually factory load bank tested, the J200UC3 is a proven choice for commercial and industrial applications where power quality and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable.

The J200UC3 accepts 100% rated load in a single step in compliance with NFPA 110, and meets a broad range of international standards including ISO 3046, ISO 8528, IEC 34, and ISO 9001:2000. Optional soundproofed enclosures, UL142 double-wall fuel tanks, and UL1008 automatic transfer switches are available to build out a complete, code-compliant power solution.
J200UC3 Engine and Thermal Performance
The John Deere 6068HFS89 delivers a maximum standby output of 235 kW at 1800 RPM with a compression ratio of 19:1 and a BMEP of 21.2 bar, providing robust power delivery with tight frequency regulation held to within 0.5%.
Heat rejection to exhaust reaches 177.68 kW with a combined 152 kW transferred to the coolant system, all managed through a fan air flow capacity of 5.5 m3/s and a thermostat range of 82 to 95 degrees Celsius.
J200UC3 Alternator and Electrical Quality
The Leroy Somer LSA462M5 alternator provides a continuous nominal rating of 250 kVA at 40°C and a standby rating of 273 kVA, with Class H insulation, IP23 protection, and voltage regulation held to within 0.5% across the full load range.
Its direct-coupled, single-bearing design with a shunt excitation system and R230 regulation delivers stable, clean power with total harmonic distortion below 2.5% and a transient voltage dip of just 15.8% under full four-quarter load.
Control Panel Options
The J200UC3 comes standard with the NEXYS digital auto-start control panel, which monitors frequency, voltage, amperage, oil pressure, water temperature, engine speed, battery voltage, fuel level, and air preheating, along with a comprehensive fault and alarm suite covering overspeed, overcrank, and low fuel conditions.
For installations requiring remote monitoring, the optional TELYS control panel adds min/max battery voltage alarms, oil pressure and water temperature readouts, and full remote monitoring and control capability, making it well suited for unmanned or remotely managed power plant applications.
