When small commercial operations, remote facilities, or light industrial sites need compact, dependable backup power, the T20U delivers proven Mitsubishi reliability in a tight footprint. Manufactured by SDMO and powered by the naturally aspirated Mitsubishi S4Q2-SD engine paired with a brushless AT00404T alternator, this ISO 8528 Performance Class G2 generator set is built for efficient, straightforward operation.

T20U Engine and Fuel Performance

The Mitsubishi S4Q2-SD is a naturally aspirated, water-cooled 4-cylinder engine with a 22:1 compression ratio, producing a maximum standby output of 27.3 kW at rated RPM. Its compact 2.51-liter displacement delivers a favorable fuel efficiency profile, with oil capacity of just 6.5 liters and a minimal oil consumption rate of 0.08 L/hr at full load, keeping operating costs low across extended run cycles.

T20U Alternator and Control Panel Options

The AT00404T brushless alternator delivers a continuous nominal rating of 19 kVA at 40°C and a standby rating of 25.8 kVA at 27°C, with 89.5% efficiency at full load and total harmonic distortion below 3.6% under load. 

The standard APM303 controller handles both manual and automatic operation, displaying phase-to-neutral and phase-to-phase voltages, active power, power factor, kWh energy metering, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level, with Modbus RTU communication on RS485 for remote supervision. 

The optional TELYS controller upgrades the experience with a large scroll-wheel display, USB and PC connectivity, and a more comprehensive alarm and fault management interface.

Containment DW Enclosure Option for the T20U

The optional M127 DW containment enclosure expands the footprint to 2160mm x 966mm x 1582mm while increasing the integrated fuel tank capacity to 230 liters, significantly extending runtime between refueling stops. 

Acoustic pressure is maintained at 75 dB(A) at 1 meter and 65 dB(A) at 7 meters, making the soundproofed T20U well suited for noise-sensitive commercial environments, residential-adjacent sites, and indoor mechanical rooms requiring a self-contained, double-wall bunded fuel system.
