K16 Engine and Fuel Performance

The Kohler KDW1603 is a naturally aspirated, water-cooled 3-cylinder engine with a 22:1 compression ratio producing a maximum standby output of 15.5 kW at rated RPM. The combined radiator and engine coolant capacity is just 5.8 liters, oil capacity is 4.4 liters, and fuel consumption drops to 2.7 L/hr at 50% load, keeping operating costs low across variable load profiles.

K16 Alternator and Control Panel Options

The AT00470T brushless alternator delivers a continuous nominal rating of 15 kVA at 40°C and 16.5 kVA standby at 27°C, with 86.3% full-load efficiency and THD held below 2.2% under load. 

The standard APM303 controller covers manual and automatic operation with full electrical metering, Modbus RTU on RS485, and a 12-event fault log. The optional TELYS adds a scroll-wheel display with USB and PC connectivity for more comprehensive monitoring.

M126 DW Containment Enclosure Option for the K16

The optional M126 DW double-wall containment enclosure measures 1797mm x 775mm x 1391mm with an expanded 93-liter integrated fuel tank for extended runtime. Acoustic performance is maintained at 74 dB(A) at 1 meter and 61 dB(A) at 7 meters, with a guaranteed sound power level of 91 Lwa, making it well suited for noise-sensitive sites and installations requiring a fully self-contained, bunded fuel system.
