SDMO V500C2: Volvo-Powered Standby Reliability at 400 kWe
The SDMO V500C2 is a Performance Class G3 diesel generator powered by a Volvo TAD1345GE engine and matched with an AT02070T alternator, delivering 400 kWe standby and 364 kWe prime power at 50 Hz across a broad range of voltage configurations.
Built on a mechanically welded chassis with antivibration suspension and shipped ready to run with oil and coolant pre-filled to minus 30°C, the V500C2 is engineered for straightforward installation and long-term dependability.

The soundproofed M228 enclosure version reduces acoustic pressure to 78 dB(A) at 1 metre and 68 dB(A) at 7 metres, making the V500C2 well suited for noise-sensitive installations. A Containment DW version is also available, expanding tank capacity to 1368 litres for significantly extended runtime without refuelling.
V500C2 Engine and Thermal Performance
The Volvo TAD1345GE produces a maximum standby output of 441 kW at 1500 RPM, with a compression ratio of 18.1:1 and a fan air flow capacity of 7.90 m3/s for dependable thermal control in sustained operating conditions.
Heat rejection to exhaust reaches 303 kW with 160 kW transferred to coolant, all maintained within a thermostat range of 82 to 92 degrees Celsius and a maximum outlet water temperature of 93 degrees Celsius.
V500C2 Alternator and Electrical Quality
The AT02070T alternator delivers a continuous nominal rating of 455 kVA and a standby rating of 500 kVA, with total harmonic distortion held below 1.5% at no load and below 2% under full load conditions.
Its brushless, direct-coupled design with Class H insulation, IP23 protection, and an unbalanced load acceptance ratio of 70% makes it highly adaptable to a wide range of load profiles and installation requirements.
Control Panel Options
The V500C2 comes standard with the TELYS control panel, featuring a large display screen with scroll wheel navigation for complete monitoring of voltage, frequency, amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, engine speed, battery voltage, and a comprehensive fault alarm suite including overspeed and emergency stop.
For more demanding power plant environments such as hospitals, data centers, banks, and industrial facilities, the optional APM802 touchscreen controller provides IEC 61131-3 compliant customization, advanced PLC communication functions, and a modular, scalable architecture built for long service life and easy installation expansion.
