At the heart of the V350C2 is the Volvo TAD1341GE, a six-cylinder inline turbocharged engine with air-to-air intercooling and a 18.1:1 compression ratio. Running at 1,500 RPM, the engine produces a brake mean effective pressure of 17.59 bar and delivers a maximum standby output of 308 kW. Fuel efficiency is a notable strength, with consumption dropping to just 33 L/h at 50% load and climbing to 69 L/h under 110% overload conditions.
An electronic governor maintains tight frequency regulation within plus or minus 0.5%, ensuring stable output even as loads fluctuate. The cooling system handles up to 107 degrees Celsius maximum water temperature using a glycol-ethylene coolant with a thermostatic range of 82 to 92 degrees Celsius.

The AT02260T alternator is a brushless, single-bearing, directly coupled unit rated at 318 kVA continuous at 40 degrees Celsius and 350 kVA standby at 27 degrees Celsius. Total harmonic distortion is kept below 2.5% under both no-load and full-load conditions, making this generator suitable for sensitive electrical equipment.
The AVR (automatic voltage regulator) provides stable voltage output, while the transient dip at full load with a 0.8 power factor is held to just 12.9%. For installations requiring weatherproof protection and greater noise attenuation, the M228 canopy enclosure extends the footprint to 4,475mm x 1,410mm x 2,430mm, with noise reduced to 67 dB(A) at seven meters and a guaranteed sound power level of 97 Lwa.
A double-walled containment variant (M228 DW) is also available, featuring an expanded 1,368L fuel tank and an acoustic pressure of 76 dB(A) at one meter, making it ideal for environmentally sensitive or noise-restricted sites.
