At the core of this generator is the MTU 12V 2000 G45 TD, a turbocharged, air to air aftercooled engine displacing 23.88 liters across twelve cylinders arranged in a Vee configuration. At standby rating, the engine produces 781 kWm (1047 bhp) gross power at a steady 1800 RPM, with net power reaching 738 kWm (990 bhp) after fan losses. 

The engine relies on MTU's ADEC electronic governor and ECU with CANBus integration to hold frequency steady under shifting loads. Fuel consumption comes in at 192.3 L/hr at 100% standby power, dropping to 144.9 L/hr at 75% and 98.4 L/hr at 50%, figures that matter when planning fuel storage and runtime for continuous operations.

Power Ratings and Voltage Configuration

Standby power is reserved for emergency use up to 500 hours per year where average load stays under 85% of the standby rating, with no overload permitted. Stamford Alternator and Control System
