The unit also supports 440/254V, 416/240V, 240/138V, and 220/127V configurations, with standby output holding at 600 kWe across most voltages and dropping slightly to 590 kWe at 416/240V. Engineering Details of the Volvo Engine and Stamford Alternator
The TWD1643GE engine features a 144mm bore and 165mm stroke, with a cubic capacity of 16.12 litres and a turbocharged, air-to-air aftercooled design delivering 674 kWm gross power at standby rating.
Heat management is substantial at this scale, with 270 kW rejected to engine cooling water and 124 kW to the charge cooler at standby load. The CGT Stamford HCI 544 alternator complements this with a self-excited design, Class H insulation, and an AS440 AVR holding voltage regulation to within plus or minus 1.0%. The single bearing, direct coupling design reduces maintenance complexity over the generator's service life.

The engine-driven fan is fully guarded, and the integral fuel tank comes complete with filler cap and gauge. An industrial silencer offering 15dBA of noise reduction is supplied, and the unit includes 24V starter batteries with a separate engine-driven battery charging alternator to keep the system self-sufficient.
Control System and Enclosure Options for the BCV 600-60 T2/F
The standard BC 7310 control system, based on the Deep Sea Electronics DSE7310 controller, provides full CANBus integration with the engine ECU along with LCD digital display of coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, amperage, and frequency, all with alarm and shutdown protection.
Facilities needing mains monitoring can upgrade to the BC 7320 for full AMF functionality, while the BC 8610 and BC 8620 systems add set-to-set and set-to-mains synchronization for multi-generator installations. For outdoor deployment, the optional Canopy 7 acoustic enclosure meets EU Legislation 2000/14/EC noise requirements and includes side-opening service doors, a separate breaker access door, and heavy duty locks for total security.
