This generator is built for large facilities where downtime is not an option, from industrial plants to commercial campuses that require dependable high output backup power. With a robust engine and alternator pairing, the BCC 500-60 T2/F is designed to handle demanding loads while keeping fuel consumption and maintenance requirements manageable.
Engine and Alternator Performance
The Cummins QSX15-G9 engine at the core of the BCC 500-60 T2/F is a 6 cylinder, inline, 4-stroke unit rated at 1800 rpm with an electronic governor for precise speed control. It delivers a net power output of 490 kWm (657 bhp) at prime and 546 kWm (732 bhp) at standby, drawing on 15 litres of cubic capacity and a turbocharged, charge air cooled configuration.
Paired with it is the CGT Stamford HCI 544 alternator, a 4-pole, 3-phase, self excited unit with Class H insulation and an AS 440 automatic voltage regulator that holds voltage regulation within plus or minus 1.0 percent. Together, this engine and alternator combination is built to handle sustained heavy loads with stability.
BCC 500-60 T2/F Control and Monitoring Systems
The standard control platform on the BCC 500-60 T2/F is the BC 7210 Digital Auto Start system, based on the DSE 7210 module. It delivers automatic remote start, overspeed and underspeed protection, low oil pressure and high coolant temperature protection, fail to start indication, and an automatic cool-down timer, along with digital displays for volts, amps, frequency, and engine operating hours.
Operators who need deeper visibility can upgrade to the BC 7310, BC 7320, BC 8610, or BC 8620 panels, which add kW, kVA, and power factor display, over and under voltage protection, over current protection, and full synchronisation capability for multi-set installations.
Build Quality and Site Readiness
Every BCC 500-60 T2/F is mounted on a fully welded steel baseframe with integrated lifting and jacking points for straightforward transport and site placement. The radiator features a pressure cap and drain point, the engine driven fan is fully guarded, and the unit sits on heavy duty rubber anti-vibration mountings to reduce noise and mechanical wear.
Spin on oil and fuel filters, a dry type air filter element, and a separate engine driven battery charging alternator support efficient, low hassle maintenance over the life of the unit.
Broadcrown BCC 500-60 T2/F Enclosure Options
For outdoor deployment, Broadcrown offers the Canopy 7 acoustic enclosure, built from fully welded steel with a two-pack polyurethane finish and designed to meet EU Legislation 2000/14/EC through rock wool insulation and a high performance exhaust silencer housed within the baseframe.
The enclosure brings sound pressure down to 78 dB(A) at 1 metre and 68 dB(A) at 7 metres, while side-opening doors, external service access panels, and a single roof lifting point simplify servicing and transport. Integral or bunded fuel tank configurations are available depending on site requirements.
Warranty and Included Documentation
Each BCC 500-60 T2/F ships with a Factory Test Certificate and a complete Operation and Maintenance Manual, giving buyers verified performance data before the unit ever reaches the job site. A wide range of optional extras, including coolant heaters, alternative fuel transfer systems, and thermistor probes, allows this generator to be configured for the specific demands of any installation.
