With factory testing, a full operation manual, and a wide range of optional features, the BCV 300-60 T3/F is built for straightforward installation and long-term reliability.
Volvo Engine Performance and Fuel Efficiency
The Volvo TAD 1351GE engine runs at a steady 1800 RPM with a turbocharged, air-to-air charge cooled design and a displacement of 12.78 liters. At standby rating, the engine delivers a net power output of 323 kWm (433 bhp), while prime rating produces 294 kWm (394 bhp).
Fuel consumption at 100 percent standby power comes in at 82.5 liters per hour (21.8 gal/hr), dropping to 62.4 liters per hour (16.5 gal/hr) at 75 percent load and 43.4 liters per hour (11.5 gal/hr) at 50 percent load. The standard fuel tank holds 711 liters (188 gallons), giving solid runtime between refuels.
Stamford Alternator and Electrical Output
The CGT Stamford HCI 444 alternator is a single bearing, directly coupled unit with a 4-pole, 3-phase winding design and Class H insulation. Self-excited with an AS440 automatic voltage regulator, it holds voltage regulation within plus or minus 1.0 percent.
The alternator is rated for a power factor of 0.8 and supports operating temperatures up to 40°C at prime rating. Across its five voltage configurations, the unit delivers consistent 300 kWe standby output whether wired for 480/277V, 440/254V, 416/240V, 240/138V, or 220/127V service.
Digital Control and Monitoring Options
The standard BC 7310 control system, based on the Deep Sea Electronics DSE7310 controller, provides manual and automatic remote start with full CANBus implementation for engine control and protection.
The LCD digital display covers coolant temperature, oil pressure, oil temperature, engine hours, battery voltage, volts, amps, frequency, kW, kVA, and power factor, all with appropriate alarm and shutdown protection. Facilities needing mains monitoring can step up to the BC 7320 for full AMF functionality, or choose the BC 8610 and BC 8620 systems for set-to-set or set-to-mains synchronization capability.
Enclosure and Sound Attenuation Options
The optional Canopy 5R acoustic enclosure provides a fully welded steel canopy finished in a two-pack polyurethane coating, designed to meet EU Legislation 2000/14/EC noise standards through extensive rock wool and perforated zintec steel lining. At standby power, the enclosed unit measures 78 dB(A) at 1 meter and 68 dB(A) at 7 meters.
The canopy integrates a steel fuel tank with a 260-gallon capacity, or a bunded configuration with a 236-gallon separate tank, along with side-opening doors, a control panel viewing window, and heavy duty locks for security.
