OVERVIEW

Broadcrown ACBCC300-60 300 kW Cummins Diesel Generator

The Broadcrown ACBCC300-60 is a three-phase, 60 Hz diesel generator set built around a turbocharged Cummins diesel engine, purpose-designed for commercial and industrial standby and prime power applications. Paired with a CGT Stamford brushless alternator and a digital auto-start control system, this unit delivers robust, reliable power output across a range of voltage configurations.

  • Standby Power (LTP): 300 kWe / 375 kVA
  • Prime Power (PRP): 270 kWe / 338 kVA
  • Frequency: 60 Hz, 3-Phase, 0.8 Power Factor
  • Engine: Cummins turbocharged heavy-duty diesel, 4-stroke, 1,800 RPM, liquid-cooled
  • Engine Management: Isochronous electronic governor with ECU
  • Alternator: CGT Stamford, brushless, single-bearing, direct-coupled, Class H insulation
  • Voltage Regulation: Automatic voltage regulator, plus or minus 0.5%
  • Control System: BC 7210 Digital Auto Start (Deep Sea Electronics DSE7210)
  • Starting System: 24V with separate engine-driven battery charging alternator
  • Structure: Fully welded steel baseframe with heavy-duty rubber anti-vibration mountings and lifting and jacking points
  • Version: Enclosed (Fully Weather Proof Silent Enclosure)
  • EPA Compliant: Export Only

The ACBCC300-60 ships with a factory test certificate and an operation and maintenance manual, giving purchasers confidence that the unit has been verified to perform to specification before leaving the factory. A wide range of optional extras is available to tailor the generator to specific site and installation requirements.

Engine Performance and Fuel System

The Cummins engine at the core of the ACBCC300-60 is a turbocharged, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke industrial diesel unit running at 1,800 RPM with an isochronous electronic governor for tight frequency regulation under variable loads. The engine features spin-on oil and fuel filters along with a dry-type air filter element, simplifying routine servicing and reducing downtime.

A fully guarded engine-driven fan handles cooling airflow, while the radiator is equipped with a pressure cap and drain point for straightforward coolant maintenance. Various fuel system configurations are available to suit different tank capacities and site-specific fueling arrangements, giving buyers flexibility for both short-duration standby duty and extended prime power operation.

Alternator and Electrical Specifications for the ACBCC300-60

The CGT Stamford alternator is a self-excited, single-bearing unit directly coupled to the engine in a 3-phase, 4-pole configuration. Class H insulation ensures the alternator can handle elevated operating temperatures without degradation, making it well-suited for demanding continuous-duty environments.

The automatic voltage regulator holds output within plus or minus 0.5% under steady-state conditions, and the brushless design eliminates the maintenance concerns associated with slip rings and brush gear.

The main line circuit breaker is included as standard, providing overcurrent protection and a clear point of isolation. Together, these electrical components deliver clean, stable power suitable for sensitive commercial loads as well as general industrial equipment.

Structural Build and Mechanical Features

The ACBCC300-60 is built on a fully welded steel baseframe designed for rigidity and long-term structural integrity. Integrated lifting and jacking points simplify installation and repositioning on site, while heavy-duty rubber anti-vibration mountings isolate the engine and alternator from the mounting surface, protecting both the surrounding structure and the generator set itself from vibration fatigue.

Industrial silencers are supplied loose for installer-specified exhaust routing. The 24V starting system uses dedicated batteries with connecting cables and a separate engine-driven charging alternator to maintain battery readiness without relying on an external charger. This self-contained mechanical package is designed to minimize installation complexity and long-term maintenance requirements.

Control System Options for the ACBCC300-60

The standard BC 7210 Digital Auto Start controller provides both manual and automatic remote start capability, with an LCD display covering coolant temperature, oil pressure, volts, amps, frequency, engine operating hours, and battery voltage. An automatic cool-down timer, emergency stop button, and auxiliary inputs and outputs for optional features are included as standard.

Operators requiring expanded monitoring and protection can upgrade to the BC 7310 or BC 7320, which add pre-alarms for low oil pressure and high coolant temperature, digital display of kW, kVA, and power factor, and over and under voltage and over-current protection, along with full RS485 telemetry and SAE J1939 CANBus communication.

The BC 7320 additionally provides full AMF functionality with integrated mains monitoring and generator-to-mains contactor control, making it an ideal choice for facilities where seamless automatic failover is critical.
