The engine produces a gross output of 297 bhp at standby and 351 bhp before net power adjustments, giving the unit the muscle to handle demanding electrical loads. 

Fuel efficiency remains strong across load ranges, with consumption figures of 58.0 gallons per hour at 75% prime power and 41.0 gallons per hour at 50% load. The 188 gallon standard fuel tank supports extended run times between refueling, which matters during prolonged outages.

The CGT Stamford UCDI 274K alternator is directly coupled to the engine on a single bearing configuration, reducing maintenance points and improving long term durability. It operates on a 4-pole, 3-phase winding 311 configuration with self excitation and an SX 460 AVR that holds voltage regulation within plus or minus 1.0 percent. 

Class H insulation protects the windings under demanding thermal conditions. The 12V electrical system uses a SAE 656 battery with 810 CCA capacity, supported by a separate engine driven battery charging alternator to keep starting power ready at all times.

Control System and Monitoring

Every ACBCC250-60T3F ships standard with the BC 7210 Digital Auto Start system, based on the DSE 7210 module. This controller provides automatic remote start, overspeed and underspeed protection, low oil pressure shutdown, high coolant temperature protection, and fail to start indication. 

Digital displays show volts, amps, frequency, and engine operating hours at a glance. For operations needing deeper monitoring, upgraded control options like the BC 7310, BC 7320, and BC 8610 series add kW and power factor displays, over current protection, and full synchronisation capability.

Construction and Enclosure Options

The unit is built on a fully welded steel baseframe with integrated lifting and jacking points, and it sits on heavy duty rubber anti-vibration mountings to reduce operational noise and mechanical stress. For outdoor installations, the optional Canopy 4A acoustic enclosure meets EU noise legislation standards and includes gull-wing access doors, fork lift pockets, and a weather capped exhaust discharge.
