John Deere Engine and Alternator Performance
The John Deere 6068HF485 is a proven six-cylinder turbocharged and air-to-air aftercooled diesel engine running at 1800 RPM, widely recognized for its durability and broad service network availability across North America.
Its EPA Tier 3 Flex certification under the TPEM flexibility allowance provisions makes it one of the more versatile compliance options available in this power class, qualifying for both stationary standby and mobile prime applications without requiring separate engine variants.
The Leroy Somer TAL-046-C alternator pairs directly with the engine in a single-bearing direct-coupled configuration, delivering three-phase output at a power factor of 0.8 with insulation class H construction for long-term thermal reliability.
A 12V charging alternator, 12V DC electric starter motor, and a pre-charged starting battery with electrolyte and cables are all included as standard, ensuring the unit is ready to start from the moment of installation.
Enclosure Quality and Acoustic Performance
The sound-attenuated enclosure on this generator is built to a standard that stands apart from typical generator housings. The 12-gauge electro-zinc powder coated steel shell goes through a multi-stage corrosion treatment process including phosphatizing degreasing, non-chromic passivation, osmosis purified rinsing, and high-durability polyester resin thermosetting powder paint, meeting and exceeding the NFX41002 salt spray test, NFT30049 UV performance test, and NFT30038 paint adhesion test.
Up to 51mm of acoustic insulation with a hydrocarbon sealing film rated to FMVSS 302 flammability classification reduces ambient noise substantially, and the internally mounted 29 dB(A) critical silencer with flexible exhaust connector protects both operator safety and component longevity. The vertical air discharge outlet grille redirects cooling air upward and away from the enclosure to further reduce ambient noise at ground level.
DeepSea DSE7320 Controller and Monitoring
The DSE7320 controller delivers a comprehensive suite of monitoring, protection, and communication features in a straightforward LCD interface. The 132x64 display provides real-time readout of oil temperature and pressure, coolant temperature, battery charge, frequency, kW, kVA, and power factor, while the 250-event fault log with date and time stamps makes diagnosing issues fast and precise.
Remote monitoring and control is available via Ethernet, RS485, and optional GSM/SIM card for SMS messaging, and the system is fully configurable through free downloadable PC software. Voltage under/over protection, amp over current protection, and automatic ATS/AMF interoperation via the auto-start control feature make this controller a capable fit for both attended and unattended installations.
Accessories and Configuration Options
The 200 kW John Deere generator supports a broad range of compatible accessories for buyers who need a fully integrated power solution. Steel or aluminum weatherproof, sound-attenuated enclosures are available for outdoor or noise-sensitive sites, and UL142-listed double-wall fuel tanks from 50 to 10,000 gallons extend runtime capacity for long-duration applications.
UL1008-listed automatic transfer switches from 50 to 3,000 amps and D.O.T.-compliant heavy duty road trailers from 3,000 to 30,000 lbs round out the mobility and transfer options. Automatic battery chargers, engine preheaters, and remote annunciators are also available, giving operators everything needed to configure this generator for virtually any stationary or mobile power requirement.
