The T1600U delivers exceptional output across voltage configurations. At 480/277V, it produces 1600 kWe standby power and 1455 kWe prime power, with standby amperage rated at 2406 amps. 

At 440/254V, output holds steady at the same kWe and kVA levels, with standby amperage rising to 2624 amps. This consistency across configurations makes the T1600U a strong fit for large industrial complexes, data centers, and facilities where power interruption is simply not an option.

Engineering Details of the T1600U Engine and Alternator

The S16R-PTA engine features a 170mm bore and 180mm stroke, a 14:1 compression ratio, and a turbocharged design supporting a maximum standby output of 1750 kW at rated RPM. Heat management is substantial at this scale, with 1215 kW directed to exhaust, 1029 kW to coolant, and 123 kW radiated to ambient air. 

The LSA 51.2 S55 alternator complements this with a continuous nominal rating of 2230 kVA at 40°C and a standby rating of 2453 kVA at 27°C, reaching 95.50% efficiency at full load. Total harmonic distortion stays below 3.5% both on load and no load, delivering clean power suited to sensitive electrical systems.

Built for Durability Under Heavy Load

Construction quality reflects the demands this unit is built to handle. The mechanically welded chassis includes antivibration suspension to absorb operational stress, while exhaust compensators with flanges manage thermal expansion over years of service. 

The radiator is rated for wiring temperatures up to 48/50°C with a mechanical fan, and a protective grille option shields the fan and rotating parts. The unit ships standard with oil and coolant rated to -30°C, ensuring readiness in cold weather conditions, and includes a 24V charge alternator and starter as part of its electrical starting system.

Control Panel Options for the T1600U

Three control panel options are available depending on operational needs. The M80 provides essential engine monitoring including tachometer, working hours, coolant temperature, and oil pressure through a direct read instrument panel. 

The TELYS steps up to a full featured interface with electrical measurements, alarm monitoring, and USB/PC connectivity for remote operation. For facilities managing complex power plant infrastructure, the APM802 offers a complete touch screen HMI compliant with IEC 61131-3, purpose built for hospitals, data centers, and industrial sites requiring maximum equipment availability.
