X2000 IV Engine and Cooling Performance

At the heart of the X2000 IV is the MTU 12V4000G63F engine, a turbocharged 12 cylinder unit with a displacement of 57.20 cubic inches and a bore and stroke of 170mm x 210mm. Running at 1500 RPM, the engine produces a maximum standby power of 1733 kW and operates with a compression ratio of 16.5. The electronic governor keeps frequency regulation tight at plus or minus 0.5 percent, ensuring stable power delivery even under variable load conditions.

Cooling is handled by a robust radiator and engine system with a combined capacity of 642 liters, using glycol ethylene coolant with a thermostat range of 79 to 92 degrees Celsius. An air cooler rated for wiring temperatures up to 47/50 degrees Celsius with an electric fan helps the unit perform reliably even in demanding ambient conditions.

Alternator Design Built for Reliability

The LSA 51.2 S55 alternator paired with the X2000 IV offers a continuous nominal rating of 1860 kVA at 40 degrees Celsius and a standby rating of 2046 kVA at 27 degrees Celsius. The TELYS panel steps up functionality with a large display screen, electrical measurements, alarm monitoring, and USB connectivity for remote operation software. For large scale power plant applications, the APM802 delivers a full touchscreen interface designed for hospitals, data centers, and industrial facilities requiring advanced monitoring and PLC integration.
