Perkins 1706D-E93TAG2 Engine Performance
The Perkins 1706D-E93TAG2 is a heavy-duty industrial diesel engine running at a fixed 1800 RPM with turbocharged, air-to-air aftercooled aspiration for improved thermal efficiency and cleaner combustion across the full load range.
An electronic isochronous governor delivers precise speed control regardless of load fluctuations, ensuring stable frequency output that sensitive equipment can rely on. The engine is certified to U.S. EPA Tier 3 standards for Stationary Emergency applications, making it fully compliant for standby duty across the United States.
An industrial-grade cooling system with fan guards and a coolant drain extension fitted with an in-line valve simplifies scheduled maintenance and reduces downtime.
320kW Generator Alternator and Electrical Output
The Stamford S4L1D-D41 is a 12-lead, brushless alternator whose skewed rotor design and 2/3 pitch winding suppress triple harmonics, producing a superior voltage waveform that protects connected equipment.
Class H insulation supports sustained operation at elevated ambient temperatures, and the self-ventilated drip-proof design eliminates the need for external cooling in most installations. Full-load rating is protected by a thermo-magnetic switch, and electronic automatic voltage regulation maintains stable output across variable loads. The 12-lead configuration supports a wide range of facility voltage requirements without hardware changes in most cases.
Fuel System and Runtime Autonomy
The 234-gallon single-walled integral metallic fuel tank is factory-fitted to the skid, eliminating the need for an external day tank in most applications. At 75% prime power, runtime reaches approximately 14 hours, and at 100% prime power the tank delivers around 11 hours before refueling.
An electronic fuel level sender pairs with a visual gauge for both digital and analog fuel visibility, and programmable low-level and high-level alarms with automatic shutdowns protect against fuel starvation and overfill events.
320kW Generator Construction and Control System
The 7-gauge mechanically-welded steel skid provides a rigid platform for permanent or relocatable installation, with heavy-duty anti-vibration mountings isolating the engine, radiator, and generator to reduce vibration and noise.
A master cabinet with compartmentalized housing organizes all control, power, breaker, and connection components in one enclosure with vertical conduit access, and a 3-pole set-mounted main line breaker rated to maximum output provides complete overcurrent protection.
The Deep Sea Electronics DSE6320 controller features a dual-core processor, 4-line backlit LCD display, 250-event history log, 50-plus configurable alarms, and full automatic shutdown protection covering voltage, frequency, speed, overload, high coolant temperature, low oil pressure, and low coolant level faults.
